Kids over age 12 can participate in our mentoring program to help get prepared for some of the things they will need in the “real” adult world. Whether your child is learning to be more independent around the home with activities such as washing dishes, preparing lunch or folding laundry; preparing for a first job; needs some additional support at college; or is ready to get their first apartment, our mentors will be there every step of the way.
In this intense program, we work one-on-one with your child as well as in small groups with other mentees to outline goals, create a plan and help uncover strengths he or she may not have even known they had. Our program is designed to support the social, daily living, vocation and educational goals that are unique to your child.
Your child will venture out with a mentor into the community and encounter real life situations. Whether it be cooking a simple meal or making a career as a chef, taking a class or completing a degree, our mentor program offers the support and guidance needed for your child to gain the strength and confidence to reach his or her best potential.
